Transferring .SI Domains Now Only with an EPP Code
As of 3 November 2015, it is still only possible to change the registrar of a .SI domain using the correct EPP code (Domain Authorisation Code). This means that you can no longer change registrar by confirming the transfer via an email address.
What is an EPP code?
An EPP code is a password or authentication code that a domain holder needs to transfer a domain to another registrar. Each domain has its own EPP code.
Why this decision?
The registrar of record for .SI domains – ARNES – highlights two key advantages:
- immediate transfer, no waiting;
- less potential for abuse.
Validity of the EPP code
The EPP code you obtain is valid until the first use or for a maximum of 16 days. After that time, it becomes inoperative, which means that you will need to obtain a new code if you want to transfer the domain.
How do I use an EPP code?
When you order a domain transfer to us via www.neoserv.com, please provide us with the EPP code you obtained from your old domain provider in an email.
