Linux System Administrator (Junior)

Are you interested in planning, installing, and maintaining Linux servers? What about virtualization technologies?

System Administrator

We are looking for a junior Linux system administrator who is interested in the field of (shared) web hosting. Knowledge of working with Linux, command line, DNS servers, etc. is desirable. We value curiosity, ambition, and a team-oriented mindset the most.

  • Planning and assembling server hardware
  • Administration of cPanel / CloudLinux servers
  • Administration of Apache, MySQL, PHP servers
  • Administration of virtualization environments

Type of employment:

Permanent employment.

Salary:

From €2,200 (gross) onwards + expenses, depending on knowledge and experience.
SCOPE OF WORK
  • Planning, assembling server hardware
  • Connecting, occasional upgrading of servers in the data center
  • Installation, administration, maintenance of cPanel / CloudLinux servers
  • Installation and administration of Apache, MySQL, PHP servers
  • Working in a virtualization environment (setting up, administering, maintaining VPS servers (Proxmox))
  • Occasional assistance to L2 technical support
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
  • Basic experience with Linux servers
  • Basic experience in administering web servers (Apache, LiteSpeed)
  • Basic experience with the PHP programming language and MySQL / MariaDB databases
  • Knowledge of various network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, SSH ...)
CANDIDATES WITH AN ADVANTAGE
  • With experience in a similar position
  • With experience with the cPanel control panel
  • With experience with the CloudLinux system and related software (CageFS, MySQL Governor, LVE, ...)
  • With experience with KVM virtualization (Proxmox)
