The loading speed of the Civcav.si online store has improved by 74.84%.
In today's case study, we are not dealing with the transfer of an online store from another hosting provider to us, but with the transfer from the Green plan to the TURBO environment. As you may already know, TURBO packages are intended for more demanding customers with larger or more visited websites. Each package includes a greater amount of processing power and memory and operates entirely on SSD arrays.
The owners of the Civcav.si online store, despite the relatively fast opening of the online store on the Green package (1.84 s), decided to switch to the TURBO environment. The acceleration was noticeable immediately after the transfer, as the online store opened in 1.28 s. Then, at NEOSERV, we also performed speed optimization and further improved the loading speed. Now, the Čiv Čav online store opens in 463 ms, which compared to the original state means a 74.84% acceleration.

1. SPEED ON THE GREEN HOSTING PACKAGE
The Civcav.si online store, which operates on the WooCommerce system, has been hosted with us for several years. Before the transfer to the TURBO server, it was hosted on the Green hosting package, where the loading time was already relatively low. The speed test showed that the store's homepage loaded in 1.84 s, with the time to the first byte being just over half a second. The PageSpeed Insights tool's score was 62. It should be noted that the online store was not speed optimized at this stage.

2. SPEED AFTER TRANSFER TO THE TURBO PACKAGE
The owners of the Civcav.si online store noticed the potential in our TURBO packages and decided to switch to a more powerful server. We carried out the transfer without any downtime for the online store, and the difference in loading speed was noticeable immediately. As you can see in the image below, after the transfer to the TURBO environment, the store loaded in 1.28 s. The time to the first byte decreased, and the PageSpeed Insights score climbed to 75.

3. SPEED AFTER NEOSERV OPTIMIZATION
In the final step, we performed speed optimization of the online store. This included the installation and configuration of the LiteSpeed Cache for WordPress plugin, which ensures efficient server-level caching, merging and minifying CSS/JS files, optimizing images using the lossless method, and upgrading to a newer version of PHP (7.4). The speed test showed that the store's homepage now opens in 463 ms, which compared to the original state means a 74.84% improvement. The PageSpeed Insights score also increased, now reaching a "green" 90.
