Google Search Console
Category: Websites
Published:

Google Search Console ( GSC for short), sometimes known as Google Webmaster Tools, is an extremely useful web tool that every website owner or administrator should be familiar with. It is a dashboard that provides access to a wide range of important information related in one way or another to your website.

The functionalities of the Google Search Console help you to measure the performance and traffic of your website, to troubleshoot problems and to ensure that your website is ranked higher in Google search results.

The Google Search Console makes it easy to answer the following questions:

  • How much traffic is my website getting?
  • How does my website rank in Google search?
  • What are the queries that bring Google users to my website?
  • Are there any errors on my website?
  • Is the website mobile-friendly (e.g. for phones)?
  • Is there malicious code or a virus on the website?
  • Does the site violate the terms and conditions set by Google and is it being penalised?
  • How often do Google’s web spiders visit my website?
  • Which pages of the site are linked to the most?
  • From which foreign sites do most of the links to my site come from?

These are just a few of the questions that Google Search Console will answer if you link your website to it. The tool is easy to use and you will find detailed instructions on how to use the individual functionalities in the articles on our blog.
