Search instructions

Did you know that some keyboard shortcuts are equally useful in all of the most popular browsers on Windows? Whether you use Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Apple Safari or Opera, the shortcuts below will work on your browser. Using them can save you a lot of time.

To make things a little easier for you, we’ve highlighted the most frequently used keys in the image below:

Keyboard shortcuts

WORKING WITH BABIES
Ctrl+T Open a new tab.
Ctrl+Tab Move between open tabs.
Ctrl+PageUp/ PageDown Move between open tabs, left or right.
Ctrl+1-8 Move to the desired tab, from 1 to 8.
Ctrl+9 Move to the last tab.
Ctrl+Shift+T Reopen the last closed tab.
Alt + left arrow Move to the previous page.
Alt + right arrow Move to the next page.
F5 Reload page.
Alt + Home Open the home page in the current tab.
RETURN TO
Ctrl and + key (or rotate the mouse wheel upwards) Increase the size of the web page.
Ctrl and – key (or rotate the mouse wheel down) Decrease the size of the web page.
Ctrl+0 Reset the page to its original size.
F11 Enable full-screen display mode. Disable full screen mode by pressing F11 again.
SCROLL THROUGH THE PAGE
Home button Scroll to the top of the page.
End button Scroll to the bottom of the page.
Page Up button Scroll up the page.
Page Down button Scroll down the page.
URL LINK
Ctrl+L, Alt+D or F6 Use the browser search window.
Ctrl+Enter When you want to visit a website with a .COM domain, this command will automatically add the www. prefix and the .COM domain extension. For example, if you type ebay into a search engine, this command will give you www.ebay.com and your browser will also automatically redirect you to this page.
Alt+Enter Navigate to the URL and use this command to open the page again in a new tab.
SEARCH
Ctrl+E Use the default search engine in the URL bar.
Ctrl+F/ F3 Open the browser search window.
HISTORY AND BOOKMARKS
Ctrl+H Open the browsing history window.
Ctrl+J Open the browser download history window.
Ctrl+D Save the currently opened web page to your bookmarks.
OTHER FEATURES
Ctrl+P Print the current web page.
Ctrl+S Save the current web page.
Ctrl+O Open the file from your computer in your browser.
F12 Open the developer tools. This function can also be used to check which SSL certificate is installed on the website you are visiting.
