How to Change PHP Version in cPanel
You can choose between different versions of PHP on your hosting package. This is important if you are using custom PHP scripts. If you are using systems such as WordPress, Joomla or Magento, we recommend that you have at least version 7.0 or higher selected.
How do I change my PHP version?
1. Log in to the cPanel control panel (login instructions). You will find the login details in the My NEOSERV Subscription Centre.
2. Locate the SOFTWARE icon section and click on the Select PHP Version link.
3. A new page will open, where you can select any PHP version by clicking on PHP Version (see image below). Select the one you want and save the settings by clicking on Set as current.
If you really don’t need an older PHP version, we strongly recommend you use one of the latest versions (7.x), which are much faster and fully support the most popular scripts such as WordPress and similar.
IMPORTANT: After changing PHP versions, remember to check your website’s performance carefully.
