How to Import WordPress and Other Apps into Softaculous
Did you know that you can log in to your WordPress website using the Softaculous tool, which you can access in the cPanel dashboard? Actually, this applies not only to WordPress, but also to other applications such as Joomla, OpenCart, Drupal, Magento, etc. This is especially useful if you don’t remember your username or password to log in to your site’s administration.
However, it may happen that your website will not be visible in Softaculous – in the list of installations.
This can happen if your website has been transferred to the hosting package from another server, if you have installed WordPress or another application manually, if you have removed an installation from the list, etc.
Don’t worry, the process of importing an application into Softaculous is quite simple.

How to import a single WordPress website?
If you have multiple websites on your hosting package and only want to import a specific WordPress website (e.g. https://www. vasadomena.si/), follow this simple procedure.
1. Log in to the cPanel control panel (login instructions).
2. In the Softaculous Apps Installer icon section, find the WordPress icon and click on it.
3. Click on the Import link to start the import process of your WordPress installation.
4. Fill in the fields:
- Choose Protocol: select the protocol on which your website is accessible.
- Choose Domain: Choose the domain where your website is located.
- In Directory (Optional): If you have installed WordPress in an overarching domain folder, leave this field blank. If you have installed WordPress in a directory, enter the directory name in the field.
5. Click on the Import button and wait a moment for Softaculous to finish the import process.
6. As you can see in the screenshot above, the tool displays two links: one to access the website and one to access the WordPress administration. Clicking on the Return to Overview button will take you back to the list of installed applications, where your WordPress website is now located.
This completes the process of importing your WordPress installation into Softaculous. If you want to log in to the administration of your WordPress site, you can do so by clicking on the person icon – in the Admin column (to the right of the website link).
