WHAT IS JOOMLA?

Joomla is one of the most popular software (scripts), designed for easy web development, suitable for beginners and available in Slovenian! As it is a very popular script, there are also many additional plugins for it, which can be used to turn your website into practically anything (your personal website, a company presentation, a blog, an online gallery, an online shop, etc.). You’ll also find lots of free and paid themes online to make your job even easier. Plugins and themes can be installed quickly and easily via the Joomla administration (manager).

IMPORTANT!

It is very important to update scripts like Joomla regularly, as soon as the developers release a new version. You should also keep your plugins and themes up to date! Malicious code is always lurking in older versions of web applications, for which all the vulnerabilities are already well known.

You can install Joomla and similar scripts “on the fly” via the Softaculous interface, which you can find in the cPanel control panel. Let’s see how.

1. Log in to the cPanel control panel.

2. Find the Softaculous interface and click on the Joomla icon in the Softaculous Apps Installer section.

3. Click Install.

4. You will be taken to your installation settings, which you can adjust. Once you have set everything up, click the Install button.

IMPORTANT!

By default, there is an index.php (Website in progress) file in your hosting package or FTP location of the carrier domain (public_html folder), which you should delete before installing, as otherwise the installation will fail.
