Outlook Security Certificate Warning
Search results for: ""
When you create a new email inbox in Outlook, in some cases you may get an “Internet Danger Warning” when you start the programme.
The two most common reasons for this warning are:
- the email server uses a security certificate that cannot be verified,
- using incorrect POP3 and/or SMTP server settings.
See below to find out how to remove this warning.
Removing the SECURITY CERTIFICATE warning
To remove the above warning, make sure you are using the appropriate settings for your email in your settings:

- port: 993 (for IMAP) or 995 (for POP3)
- encryption: SSL/TLS

- password: email box password
OUTGOING EMAIL
- server: mail.vasadomena.si (enter your actual domain instead of vasadomena.si)
- port: 465 (for SMTP)
- encryption: SSL/TLS
- username: email address
- password: e-mail box password
Access to the settings depends on the version of Outlook you are using. You will find the instructions on our support page helpful.
