One of the common problems that can occur when sending or receiving emails in Outlook is that Outlook cannot determine whether your computer is connected to the Internet or whether a program is blocking access to the Internet. Below, check the most common reasons why Outlook error 0x800CCC0D occurs and how to fix it successfully.

1. CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET IS NOT ESTABLISHED

First check if you have a connection to the internet. The easiest way to find out is to open your browser (FireFox, Google Chrome, etc.) and type for example: www.google.si in the search bar . If the website opens, then your computer is connected to the internet.

If the website does not open, then your computer is not connected to the internet. In the operating system, reconnect to your network router (router). If this does not help, restart your router. If this also does not help, contact your Internet Service Provider (Telekom, T-2, etc.).

2. Antivirus software blocks the connection

In case the connection to the Internet is established and you get error 0x800CCC0D, the problem may be with the antivirus program on your computer. Turn off the antivirus for a while and try to send and receive e-mails again.

3. Firewall settings

Just like an antivirus program, your firewall can block you from sending and/or receiving emails. If Outlook’s priorities are set incorrectly, you may get error 0x800CCC0D. Turn off the firewall for a while and check if the error still occurs.

4. incorrect access data

In some cases, you may have entered the wrong access data for Outlook. Re-enter your access details (username and password) and try to send and receive e-mails.
