How to Import Emails from Gmail to Roundcube

Do you want to transfer emails from your Gmail account (e.g.janez.novak@gmail.com) to an email inbox linked to your domain (e.g.janez@vasadomena.si)? First, you need to export Gmail messages in MBOX format to your computer. Read how in the following article:

Once you have the .mbox file ready, you can import it into the Roundcube web client.

Importing emails (MBOX) into Roundcube

1. Log in to the cPanel control panel (login instructions).

2. If you don’t have an email inbox to import your emails into, create one (instructions for creating an email inbox).

3. Sign in to Roundcube – your email inbox where you want to import Gmail messages (instructions for signing in to Roundcube).

4. In the top right corner, click on More and select Import.

5. In the pop-up window, click Browse and search for the .mbox file containing your messages.

6. Click the Import button.

7. Wait a moment for Roundcube to finish importing the messages.

This completes the process of importing your Gmail emails into the Roundcube web client.
